The Administration Officer position is a newly created role within the Queensland division.  The role has been created in light of the division’s recent growth. As such, the role will require the successful candidate to initially put in place systems and procedures to create greater cohesion between the division’s local management and operating teams and the centralised support personnel who are located in the head office in Victoria.

The role requires a high level of liaison and coordination between internal and external stakeholders in order to effectively perform their role.  Organisational skills and an ability to rearrange priorities are a major asset for this position.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage and prepare the account receivable and payment functions for the division.
  • Assist the HSEQ team by ensuring all state subcontractor compliance is managed, recorded and up to date.
  • Manage client specific compliance, inductions and onboarding.
  • Assist HR with company onboarding processes for new inductees.
  • Assist HR with the organisation of functions.
  • Assist HR with all staff training requirement.
  • Book accommodation and travel requirements for operators.
  • Manage all the general purchasing requirements of the office – i.e. staff amenities and office stationary.
  • Continually improve the skill level and knowledge of our workforce.
  • Promote and develop a strong safety culture.
You will need:

  • Minimum 2 years previous exposure and experience in a similar role with Road Construction Industry
  • Deliver high quality work, while adhering to timelines;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;

  • Control subcontract procurement administration, including overseeing subcontract agreements;
  • Ensure that all contracts meet the legal, commercial and corporate standards and agreed benchmarks;
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the head contract and of the proforma subcontracts;
  • Ensure the effective implementation of commercial and financial risk management procedures;
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation;
  • Continually improve the skill level and knowledge of our workforce;
  • Deliver high quality work, while adhering to timelines;

You will need:

  • Extensive experience of accountability for the commercial management of medium;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or Quantity Surveying;

  • Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities supported by high level verbal and written communication skills;

  • Check IPAD job sheets for accuracy daily.
  • Assist with collating all IPAD job sheets, worksheets and subcontractor dockets
  • Assist with the preparation of the Bitu-mill Profiling QLD payroll weekly spread sheets
  • Maintain and update electronic machine schedule
  • General assistance for the operations manager.

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy combination truck drivers to join our Victoria team transporting various road construction products across Melbourne metro.

Our business runs around the clock and we are looking for a variety of drivers to cover all shifts including: nights, mornings, day and weekends.
