Bitu-mill’s Urban Civil division have been awarded Stages 1A & 12 at Walara Waters estate in Wallan. Despite poor ground conditions in the beginning, the team have done a fantastic job to push through and bring another sub division out of the ground. This project is just another example of the teams ability to deliver the works on time and with safety at front of mind.
Our Micro Stabilising crews are currently working for the South West Alliance completing cement stabilised patching that will leave the road smooth and safe to travel on.
These works are being carried out in preparation of road resealing.
Bitu-mill have now completed works on Bridge Rd Melton South. Works consisted of constructing a skewed dual span bridge, a first for the team, roundabout and new road to complete the connection of Bridge Rd across Toolern Creek.
Congratulations to all those who were a part of this project.
Micro Stabilisation ventured into NSW for the first time last month which has allowed us to show the diversity of our fleet.
With limited access and in a high risk environment, Bitu-mill are currently utilising 3D machine control in our tunnel projects.
Using such a system has removed the need for our operators to be on the ground measuring stringlines and we no longer have the need for surveyors to mark-up cutting depths ahead of time. This means our team can turn up, turn on and mill any surface with millimetre accuracy, saving the client time and money and guaranteeing tolerances are met .
Not limited to tunnel work, our machine controlled profilers can use this technology in any situation, TPS or GPS.
Bitu-mill are always looking to make the work environment a fun place to be in. Last week our paving division took to the slopes and spent the day skiing and snowboarding.
Just another reason why you should join the Bitu-mill family…
The metro civil team at Pillar Rd Basin project are well under way and have now completed the removal of all top soil and selected trees.
Detail excavation is now taking place and the project is on target for it scheduled completion date.
