Overview
Bitu-mill were successful on tendering to work on the first package of flood recovery works released by the Buloke Shire Council. The package included 6 roads in the northern reaches of the Shire working from Berriwillock to Quambatook.
Scope
Construction of concrete flood ways
- Construction of a full concrete floodway pavement
- Construction of concrete edge beams to protect flood way pavements
Drainage and shaping works
- Installation, shaping and lowering of key drainage assets to assist with future flood protection
Pavement Rehabilitation
- Excavation and salvaging of flood damaged pavements
- Use of local resources and materials to rebuild roadways
- Completion of both spray-sealed and asphalted wearing courses
- Extensive use of stabilisation of salvaged and insitu materials
Outcomes
Works completed to high quality with exceptional finishes and tidy sites
