Overview

Bitu-mill were successful on tendering to work on; Bulk earthworks project comprising of approximately 28,000m3 (solid) cut to fill as first stage of construction works. Bitu-mill also completed 5000m2 carpark as second stage of construction works

Scope

Construction of hardstand area

Clearing and grubbing of existing site trees and mulching
Removal of redundant shade cloth structure
Excavation of rock floaters and removal from site
Rectification of uncontrolled fill
Cut and fill of approximately 28,000m3 (solid) of site material to construct hardstand area for future use

Construction of carpark

Stabilisation of subgrade
Construction of flexible pavement design comprising of fine crushed rock material and asphalt layers
Drainage with an impermeable geofabric layers to prevent seepage
Linemarking to facilitate carparking zones

Outcomes

Works completed to high quality with exceptional finishes and tidy sites
Win – win attitude at play with negotiation on future work scopes

Exceptionally satisfied customer resulting in the further opportunities
Over 4,230 man hours works, with zero LTI’s, great achievement for the work scope with heavy plant movement.
